This year's edition of one of the most important American Film Festival in Poland begins on the 24th of October and will last for six days. This year's film programme offers us 93 feature-length films from which 56 will be shown for the first time in Poland, 4 films are international premieres and 4 more are European premieres.
This special festival gives us posibility to watch films such as 'The Killing of a Sacred Deer' produced by Yorgos Lanthimos with the all-star cast(Collin Farrell or Nicole Kidman) which caught the attention during the Cannes Film Festival, as well as Darre Aronotsky's film called 'Mother!' recently presented at the festival in Vienna with Jennifer Lawrence in the starring role. We will also have an opportunity to watch the newest production directed by George Clonney named 'Suburbicon'.
The honoured guest of this year's edition will be Rosanna Arquetter- the actress nominated for an Emmy Award and the winner of the BAFTA Award. Her popularity had grown in the 70s; she was then known for her roles in the non-commercial and independent movies. Nontheless, she is especially known for her roles in 'Pulp Fiction' or 'The Whole Nine Yards', working together with Bruce Willis and many other noted actors. She was also appreciated by one of the greatest directors- Quentin Tarantino.
